Private Tours
Are you looking for a private tour guide in Munich or the area near Munich?
I’ve regularly done tours to Neuschwanstein, Salzburg, and around Munich and have a lot of mostly wasted knowledge of things that most tourists just don’t have the time to appreciate. My normal tours are a set time and are limited to what the masses want. I can offer you more personalized tours at reasonable prices.
For example: if you want a 2-3 hour tour of Munich covering all the major sites, I would charge €120. Variations are negotiable.
Possibilities include:
- Schloss Hohenschwangau, Schloss Neuschwanstein, & Fuessen (including the Hohes Schloss of Fuessen)
- Augsburg
- Munich city tours from 1 to 8 hours, depending on interests
- Palaces of Munich
- Castles near Munich (Blutenburg & Gruenwald are the only ones really close…)
- Church-hopping tours (in Munich, Augsburg, or Salzburg)
- Beer & Bavarian food tours (the culture of Bavaria)
Please book private tours at least 2 weeks in advance! (I am a busy tour guide, usually working at least 5-6 days a week).

Dear Mike and Petra,
Although retired, I live in Byron and used to work as a special ed. teacher with your mom, Peggy, at Byron High School. She was one of my teacher aides and bowling coaches. I still remember when she mentioned her son was strting to date a girl from Geremany. She was right when she thought she wouldn’t be seeing you too often! She has a great sense of humor, and being from Min. you have to have a sense of humor, especially when the topic of ludifisk (?) comes up. Peg has told me many stories about you and Petra and her visits to Europe. However, I think she prefers the nude beaches of mexico. Tell her I said that. Anyway, my daughter, Era, and her future husband, Mike, are planning a July wedding and are thinking of some form of European honeymoon. I gave them your web page and e-mail address of Mike@hakum.com in order to reach you. Her e-mail address is erabaumer@hotmail.com. Look for their inquiries.

Hi There,
I wanted to find out what the cost would be for you to provide transportation to Neuschwanstein castle leaving Munich at 7:30 am and returning around 4 pm. We have to catch a flight out. There would be 4 of us, 2 adults & 2 girls (13 & 15) and it would be for June 27th. We know time would be limited but maybe also enjoy the lake or the other castle, or bicycle ride.
Thanks,
Lori Miller

We are a party of 6 adults who will be in Munich Aug 8,2012. We are interested in seeing the major sights including any Jewish points of interest but not any concentration camps. We would be interested in meeting at 10 am and spending the day until 4pm. On Aug 9,2012 we need a very large van that can accomodate 6 adults and 14 large pieces of luggage. We have to be in Viloshoflin to pick up AMA waterways river cruise. Please let me know if you are available and what you would suggest for the 8th and how much will you charge for both days. Thank you, Barbara Berman
